Doorstep F2F

Many people seem to be most familiar with F2F fundraising that is carried out on the street. However, F2F on the door is a bigger source of new donors and donations for charities.

Doorstep F2F does not present the same capacity and volume issues as does fundraising on the street. While door F2F is clearly encompassed by the current licensing laws contained in the House-to-House Collections Act 1939, charities will not need a council permit once the Charities Act 2006 comes into force.

However, many areas have set up Cold Calling Control Zones which are designed to deter cold callers. This is likely to become an issue for charities conducting doorstep F2F in the future.
