Compliance Officer (F/T) - salary £18,000

The Public Fundraising Regulatory Association (PFRA) is the charity-led membership body that self-regulates all forms of direct debit 'face-to-face fundraising' (F2F). F2F is the method of fundraising –sometimes called ‘chugging’ – whereby charities solicits direct debit donations or contact details of potential donors, either on the street or by going from house to house.

It is important for the organisation to maintain the highest standards in maintaining this essential fundraising income channel.  You will be an integral part of the team making this a reality.

The role of Compliance Officer is a full time position in support of the Head of Standards, helping to provide timely, robust and accountable monitoring and enforcement of the practical day-to-day implementation of the PFRA’s Rule Book, an interpretation of the Institute of Fundraising’s Code of Practice for Face-to-Face Activity.

The Compliance Officer will assist the Head of Standards in demonstrating the effectiveness of self-regulation by providing regular updates on behaviour and methodology in the field, including compliance with all relevant rules, which the Officer will be empowered to monitor and enforce.
