PFRA has 135 members in three membership categories:
Full (user) members
Users are the charities that use F2F fundraising (either by contacting out to a provider or running an in-house team. User members comprise most of our membership and provide the bulk of our funding. User members have full voting rights and are eligible for membership of the executive board. User members pay an annual membership fee of £100 a year plus a levy of 75p for each donor recruited.
Full (provider) members
Providers are the professional fundraising agencies that provide the F2F fundraising service that most of our charity members use. There are currently 15 provider members of the PFRA, ranging from local affiliates of large international marketing companies, right across to small, local suppliers operating only in specific parts of the UK. Provider members have full voting rights and are eligible for membership of the executive board. Provider members pay an annual membership fee of £250.
Associate members
Associate membership is for organisations (and individuals) which do not fit the definition of either a user or provider, but which want to keep abreast of developments in the field of F2F fundraising. These can include companies that offer other charity fundraising services but not F2F, academics and consultants, foreign charities and good causes, local authorities, professional associations, and specifically charities which might wish to undertake F2F at some point, but are still researching the subject and wish to learn more. Associate members pay an annual fee of £40 but have no voting rights and are not represented on the board.
PFRA will shortly be reviewing its associate member category and we will post more details in due course.
