Joining the PFRA

User and provider membership is open to any charity, trust, consultancy, not-for-profit, voluntary organisation or professional fundraising organisation that is actively engaged in the use or provision of face-to-face activity (or advises on its use), and which meets the relevant board requirements at the time.

‘Actively engaged ’means currently undertaking the activity at the time of application, or having undertaken the activity within the last 12 months, but not currently active, or definitely intending to undertake the activity within the next 12 months (with a budget in place etc). If you do not meet this definition of ‘currently undertaking F2F activity’, associate membership may be a better option for you.

Members are also required to:

  • be bound by the rules of the Association
  • achieve appropriate professional/quality standards through our accreditation process.
  • undertake to comply with the Institute of Fundraising Face-to-Face Activity Code of Fundraising Practice and any interpretation of the code made by the PFRA.
